I wonder if anyone can help me? I have a '74 914 2:0 litre which I took off the road some years ago to do a 4 to 5 stud conversion and "a few other things". One thing led to another and I ended up uncovering the "usual" hell hole corrosion. After removing the drivetrain I thought I had found someone 2 years ago to perform the neccesary surgery but for a variety of reasons this didn't work out. Since then I have been focussed on moving and extending the new house so time and money have been diverted to that. Having now completed the extension I am very keen to get the 914 back on the road. I do not have the neccesary welding skill nor time to do it myself so will have to find someone to do the job. There is a good classic car restorer locally but his experience is on E types and MGs with the odd 911 and 944 in there. I think I'd rather find someone who knows 914's and who has done a hell hole before.... I live near Bracknell in Berkshire and would be really grateful if anyone knows of someone out there who could do the job? I have toyed with giving up and parting out the 914 but figure it's worth one last go to put behind me the setbacks of the last few years and try to get this done....
Thanks in advance
Phil
