OG horn grilles are made from Mayzac which is a very poor quality alloy, often referred to as 'monkey metal' and very difficult to rechrome once it gets pitted as you can't easily fill the holes and get a smooth surface.
swb grilles are nigh on impossible to get hold of in good condition, modern plastic ones are pretty good replacements, grille snobs will apply soft pressure to the 'blades' and sensing a flex raise their eyebrow in ...
I have some though and they are fine imho, I would have real ones but they got busted by a Deer. One day I'll get some, perhaps.
LWB grilles are easier to get hold of.
Windows are easier to chrome but won't be cheap to get a good job done.
