lowering the front
lowering the front
ok ive undone the bolt each side with 19mm spanner but it does not seem to make much difference,is there more i can do to drop the front down lower.
where is james deans porsche 550 spyder?

I hope you have undone the right bolt and not the large nineteen mm ones that secure the front crossmember to the car ,the adjuster bolts are furthest outboard and are fairly sensative to adjustment , and roll the car back and forth or better still drive ir between adjustment and do it on a full fuel tank , and dont go to far with it or you will end up with a jittery skittery foul handling thing, and once you are happy with it you will have to get the tracking checked

here is a picture of a front crossmember showing the adjuster , its actually a LWB one but the SWB one works the same way , the adjuster is the gold coloured part with the collar for the crossmember securing bolt just ahead of it ,

The height is further adjusted by removing the lever (off the torsion bar) and altering its position on the torsion bar splines. The adjuster bolt then gives some fine adjustment.
