More electrics...hazards now

Post by gridgway »

In getting my new 73 911 sorted (needs an MoT now), I have discovered that the hazards don't work. The pressy switch is not illuminated and does not active the indicators when pressed. Ie dead as the proverbial. The indicators do work though.

Anyone got an idea how they work, what might be wrong and any diagnostic steps to take?

Thanks

Does the horn work? Hazards and horn share same fuse? (No 2)
Also ISTR there is a separate relay for the hazards behind the scuff plate by the pedals.

Good question Paul! I forgot to try the horn in my pre-mot check.

Does anyone have wiring diagrams, fuse layouts, location info for electrical goodies at all?

Thanks

Thanks Paul. I suppose I'll need to work out how to read a wiring diagram now! Something I have managed to avoid for many years.
