Blimey, £75k seems a massive price even for a perfect car.

Mind you, if it sells I might be in the market for a restoration project I could sell on!

Surely it can't be worth that much?

Them there resto projects always cost more to do than first thought ...especially if you want a really good car at the end
Mine had been stored and had everything original on it and still does except for those bits rusted away
Its the little things that cost a lot like the original glass rear reflectors instead of the plastic repros ... pounds and pounds and pounds and allof a sudden you are up to £75K
Only makes sense on an open car or a rare car and probably not even on a cab but time will tell

Buying the car to start with £15K
Strip and get ready for acid dipping 60 hours work @£50 per hour = £3K
Transport to dippers, dipping cost and collection £1.6K
Body repairs and pre fit of parts to get correct fit and painting = £30K
Rebuild engine including dynamo,dizzy,carbs,tin wear,exhaust ETC = £10K
Rebuild gearbox, axle tubes, rear brakes ETC = £2k (brake drums are now NLA and were £620 each +VAT !!)
Sound deadening kit = £1K
Wiring loom (new) or repair old = £1K
Front suspension, steering including box and brakes = £2K
Reassembly of car = 400 to 500 hours @£50 per hour = £25K
All the parts you have to buy new, like windscreen, windscreen seal, master cylinder, tail-lights, door seals ETC ETC = £12K
What about stuff like re-chroming door handles, finding a decent bonnet handle, badges, MOT, registration ETC = £10K
Total = £112,600.00
Yes it is worth every penny
If you cut corners on restoration it will be cheaper but some of us out here can tell from 100 yards
