The 72 will be built in the US and then come here as a finished car.

This is due mainly for 2 reasons.

1) the car is already at the shop that built my 74 Iroc replica and they do great work.

2) parts and labor are so much cheaper in the US, especially with the Dollar so weak!

Hi,

Enjoyed reading the build of your IROC on Pelican, i'm sure the new addition will be equally special. Welcome to the UK.

I have a colleague who's the owner of an infamous GT, i'm sure your paths will cross before too long...

Cheers,

Chris

I've seen a Ford GT parked at the local Sainsbury's recently - could it have been you?

Yup, sounds like you've already met! I'm sure he's already extolled the virtues of the GT upgrades. He has a rather nifty Noble that has shamed some exotica before now.

Look forward to seeing your motors in the metal.

Very possibly. If it was silver/black stripes then it was def me as there are only 3 cars like that in Europe...

Let's go out for a beer sometimes neighbour!

We have not met yet with Phil...

Yup his Noble sounds evil!!!!

I am waiting for a smaller pulley and a tune to be delivered from the US. Shooting for 700hp at the crank. Then short shift and I already have the transmission cooler mounted.

Phil has the Accufab X-pipe on his car but since I track mine and the noise emissions are so strict here I will keep it stock.

The Gt would need stiffer shocks for the track.... but I am enjoying it on the road too much to mess around with that...

Looking forward to meeting you too!

Hi and welcome

I'm quite a near neighbour too. If you could pick me up in the Ford GT and we will pop down to your pub for a beer that would be great!!!!

Just kidding. What a great stable you have. I too read the Pelican rebuild of your car. Fantastic job. Enjoy DDK

I should have expected your GT to be well on its way given the IROC build, sounds great.

Have to say its good to see someone actually using their cars in the manner for which they were built.

All the best,

Chris

And a welcome from me as well, Matteo.

If memory serves me right, there are a few Carrera 3.0 RSR in the UK but yours would be the only IROC one in the country....

I have followed the post on pelican as well and it is an awesome specification.

All the best,

Matteo - apologies bit late joinging thread - travelling and Seasonal Spirit and stuff!!! :drunken:

Indeed - we meet the 3rd Weds of every month in the Fairmile - we have a section roped off for us to the left of the bar.

However, this month, with it being Crimbo n all, we're having our annual pee up at the Orange Tree in Richmond that night - feel free to join us

I'm just down the road in Surbiton, there are a 'couple' of DDKers in Cobham and some more scattered around Weybridge, Richmond, Kingston and the like :)

Welcome to DDK - hope to catch up soon
