Early 911/912 £15k max budget

Hi all, I am new to this forum but have been the owner of various Porsche over the last 10 years.

I have been searcing for an early 911/912 for some time now. The problem I've got is that my maximum budget is around £15,000. I would really like to spend about £10,000 (I didnt realise how expensive being a family man was). From what I've seen, £10k should get me a nice 912 and a couple of grand more a 911 T. What I'm really after is a nice honest car. One a Porsche disciple has owned. I dont really want a bitsa or a heavily modified car.

Does anybody know of any good cars for sale at the moment in this price bracket? It is a real minefield out there.

Hi Phil,

If you can stretch a little further this may be of interest to you as I have lowered the price from £17,500 to £16,000 and fitting a complete new clutch.

Nice car Alan,

I am interested, but I have a couple of questions.

Engine - I thought this model came as a 2.2?
Gearbox - I thought this was 4 speed?

I understand that this vehicle is ready to go and wont need and immediate expenditure from me.

Hi Philip,

The engine in the car is from a 1972 model thus a 2.4. Originally it had a 2.0 ltr motor. In the huge pile of receipts there is a receipt for a replacement engine in 1972! I can only assume the owner wanted more power than the original 2.0ltr

The gear box is the original one and is the correct 5 speed.
