This guy is a plastic surgeon from Rome.

He says his car is a real one, found tucked away in Portugal. Apart from a non standard exhaust, we had no reason to doubt him.

After a short sprint, our first proper test on Saturday was a run on the Autodromo di Pergusa.

We arrived at the circuit in the company of the 2.2E, which was running third at the start of day 3.

Johnny interviewed someone important:

And we followed her 356 for part of the circuit:

Ok I'll have a stab at the first few:

- late '30's Lancia Aprilia
- late '50's/early '60's Mercedes 300 SL Roadster
- later (mid '60's) Fiat 850 Spider (possibly with Abarth mods)
- late '50's MGA 1500 (could be an early 1600 but would need to see rear lamps)
- C Type Jaguar - looks like a replica
- late '50's Ferrari 250 Testa Rossa

You got 4 out of the 9 cars pictured, Andy. And lose a point for not being more precise with years. :blackeye:

OK probably got the Lancia wrong - is it an Ardea ?

As for the 718 RSK - definitely looks like a replica to me - did you see the engine/transaxle ?

Ducktailing it to the Targa

We left the circuit behind the austrian 924 Turbo:

We had a good view of this car over the event, and it's a pretty attractive proposition for rallies like this one 8)

Although in this heat I reckon his wife missing the aircon, which kept fusing:
