Out on an essential journey to the village bakery the other day, and saw a Renault 16 going in the opposite direction.
It took a couple of mins to sink in what a rare sight that is these days.............

Can't remember when I last saw any old Renault being used on the road - even prior to 'lockdown - R4/5/6/8/10/11/12/14/16/16/17/18/20/21/25/30 ...

Move to Cornwall and you'll see a beige R4 being used for lots of local journeys... Owned by some nutter, from what I understand.

Oooh. A Renault 21 Turbo. I forgotten about those. I used to lust after them as a classy alternative to a Sierra Cosworth.

I once had the use of my boss' 21 Turbo, in black, when I was a nipper. A real flying machine !

I lusted after a 5 GT Turbo, or an Integrale, but could only afford a Y10 Turbo !

I'd love one of them (or an IFA version). There has been one at Gooodwood a couple of times, acting as a mobile chicane but sounding great while doing so.

Nice to drive once you got used to the strange gear patten , 4 speed column change top gear was down and forward very easy to change down instead of up but no valve bounce!

“Minor work required to complete”
Just wondering how that will work from a V5 point of view, is it viable as a road car with Lexus V8 n all?
