Why fit an ammeter which involves major electrical work and heavy current cables, potentially giving a voltage drop to the whole system, when a voltmeter just needs a feed from an ignition controlled circuit, and will show you just as clearly whether your alternator/dynamo is charging or not? All the other photos I've seen of this car show it as butch, pumped up hotrod but I think you get an idea of scale from this photo. It's little !

Thanks Keith, there's a chap on the Registry trying to convince me it's the Alpine Road in the Santa Cruze Mountains. I'm not sure were both talking about the same photo.
