I'm with Aon also as recommended by so many off here, £200 fully comp classic, with no mileage limit, or need for no claims. Kept on drive over, 30 years, fine upstanding citizen and all the usual crap.

£47.50 for secondhand sounds steep to me, surely its not a 912 specific item.

before you replace your regulator, check that its earthed properly, I went around the garden path about 3-4 times with the same over charging problem. I replaced the regulator, had the alternator rebuilt and it still overcharged, turned out in the end that the ali cage that the regulator sits on in ...

Early Panel - Late Car

Is it a done thing in Porsche circles to stick early panels on a late car? Similarly with late Beetles, I guess alot of us have bolted up pre 67 sloping wings, deck lids and lights for that early feel, probably still doing it! Seems to be the other way around with Porsches, mainly 911/12s, has anyon...

try a buggy specialist, most VW based buggies have to have the chassis shortened. http://www.dunebuggy.co.uk, http://www.vwanticks.co.uk/services.htm

Don't want to be negative, but...

I wouldn't sand blast it inside, you'll never remove all the left over grit and stuff. Wouldn't want want that going through my engine, even with fuel filters.

Indicator lights on Rev counter

My indicator flashy things on the dash are always on ever since I had the car (912e). They do blink when in use but remain on when not, the indicators themselves work fine. Is this normal? or would it be a simple case of chaning the relay? anyone had this before?
