Thanks for this, Hugo
So, front bumpers were the same if after oct 1952? That's kind of what i gathered looking online but nothing was definitive so thought I'd check

Ha ha. No licence, nothing to take away... apart from your dignity, driving a car like that (although secretly I actually quite like it : )

Re: Le Mans classic day 30th April-1st May 2022 - Crit air c
Just as an update, I did order one of the Crit Air certificate car stickers, just to be safe wherever I go. It was 4.51 euros which was just under £4 and will be posted to me. I got it from here: https://www.certificat-air.gouv.fr/ Just another quick bit of info I discovered yesterday: you no longer...

Thanks Barry. I did see it's only just over 4 euros for one and might be a good idea but still a bit of a faff to apply if I don't need one.
I'll probably just do it anyway as it's a one off and for the lifetime of the car.
Cheers

356A T2 front bumper - will earlier bumpers fit fit?
Hello.
I just wondered if earlier cars had the same front bumper as the 356A t2.
If not, how different were they? Could they be modified?
Thanks in advance

Le Mans classic day 30th April-1st May 2022 - Crit air cert
Hello. I'm off to Le Mans at the end of April (just outside, not specifically to the track) and it seems there is a weekend classic car meet - 30th April - 1st May. So, I will probably go since i'm so close. However, I'm not taking a classic car but have just seen talk about the Crit air certificate...

Is it me or is that link a wetransfer file containing a presentation pdf? I think this is the intened link: https://youtu.be/OXhOyghwJnE However, 30 to 50k for a conversion that gives around 100 mile range and a 2.5 hr recharge time? Needs to be much more viable than this - which is the general prob...

Re: Under cover Resto
This thread is great. I appreciate your pictures and commentary, especially the engine work. I have to tackle my engine at some point (long way off yet) as I only had it running pretty poorly over 25 years ago. To be honest, I've never tackled the inner workings of engines, as the micro mm tolerance...

I love whitewalls and intend to have them on my 356 when I actually get around to doing it.
That image posted above is and has been my inspiration for years. I absolutley love that look.
Just as a point of note, that image is actually a 3D render and not real. Pretty good, eh : )

Re: New French taxation system...
I know this has strayed off topic to houses but I find this very intereting, especially Jonny Hart above. As mentioned above, building developers are being given a blank cheque to build too many of the wrong houses. It's a discrace from them and the government. I've had this on my watch list for age...

Re: non Porsche vid of the day!
More than 2 hours is my guess  Joking aside, I bet making / editing the video took many hours too. I also like the fact that there's no annoying background music to mute. I love the fact that he even restored the old nuts. I'd be interested if anyone can explain any of the chemical processes h...

Re: non Porsche vid of the day!
This is probably the best 'documentry' type vid I've seen. It's beautifully shot and edited. This resto must have taken twice as long due to having to set the camera up for each stage : ) More importantly for this forum, it's also such a great blueprint for any restoration ... of anything; skilled, ...

I also went to look at a 3 cars a friend of a friend was selling. I intended to buy them all but the price he wanted was a bit steep: Grinnall Scorpion Renault Alpine GTA (driven into a grage 14 years ago and there it lay) Mid 90s Mercades 220 (I think. Something like that - he was going to throw th...
