Re: my non-Porsche picture of the day
They're starting to show up in hillclimb events down here (and probably across the UK). Due to the vagaries of the class regs, my 46 year-old 914 runs in the same class... The expression taking a knife to a gun fight comes to mind! That must be a bit frustrating running against modern machine...

GR is Gazoo Racing who have been in charge of the project, Tommi Makinen was allowed to take the project out of Japan and over to his facility in Finland. Gazoo Racing have had quite a bit of success at Le Mans and WRC over the years. It really is a Special bit of kit, and bloody good fun on road. 8)

Yes sorry Andy, as Graham says its a GR Yaris, which is a Homologation car, project is bein...

Re: my non-Porsche picture of the day
I had ordered one of these back in March before it had appeared on Top Gear. It was going to be a 14 month wait for delivery, which I was okay with. But after a bit of chasing I managed to find a cancelled order in exactly the same spec. Picked it up from South Wales a couple of weeks ago. It’s abso...

Well I for one think all this detail is cool. That’s what makes projects like yours so intrinsic.
Keep the details coming. It’s going to be another cracker of a car.

Re: MFI Cold Starts
I use the factory system. On our 69/70/71 cars the cold start fuel gets fired in from two brass rails in the air box. Make sure all the hoses and rails are secure and no leaks. I have found the solenoid ontop of the fuel filter housing can stick if not used for a while. You can test this by just put...
