Re: 912c

Agreed a £300 CDI system would be a good addition to that Sent from my M2004J19C using Tapatalk It runs a 123 ignition distributor with a custom curve for the cam/porting/engine. Doesn’t need a CDI ignition. If you have ever got a shock from a 123 distributor you would understand why! The JPS kit i...

Re: 911 '69-'78 door window frame threaded press inserts

Do a search for swage nuts or self clinching nuts something like this

https://www.spaldingfasteners.co.uk/sel ... inc-m3-m8/

Think that’s what Porsche used to assemble the frames

Re: VIN plate stamping

Oh that piece! Have you tried an engraver? you know the type that engraves trophies? Stamping them and the dies/punches in the correct font would be pretty hard to come by unless you know some unscrupulous people. Or a letter the DVLA stating what you are doing and why you are doing it with pictoria...

Re: VIN plate stamping

Didn’t Porsche offer the plate and the stamping if you could produce evidence of ownership etc?

Might be worth asking at your OPC

Re: Taking a long time to start

How are you trying to start the car? Electric fuel pump. Switch on ignition and let the pump run to fill the float bowls, you should hear a change in note or noise in the pump as the system becomes pressurised. Pump the accelerator pedal three times,(don’t stab at it but press all the way to the flo...

The white is the rubberised underseal and seam sealer. Turns black when it gets hot and rust is encrusted in it, (did I mention my carwas a Little bit rusty?), sticks to your skin and retains heat exceptionally well. I still have a few burn scars from stripping the front wheel arches! Wear long slee...

Re: Resto thread for 119100008 69t

I threw my 1970 911T around Curborough a couple of times with no ARB's and it was huge fun, the body roll enhanced it. Obviously you can corner faster with them installed. Worth mentioning that if you do add the front ARB it's best to add the reinforcing plate around the three bolts as the mount ca...

Re: 69 MY Paint, Factory Spec

Anything that was black on mine was black all the way down to the metal/rust. All of the inside of the passenger area was body colour over under seal on the inner sills. The centre tunnel was black. The floor that was left under the road signs and biscuit tins was body colour on the inside. Looking ...
