Re: Indoor Car Cover
thanks all for the replies... the car is going to be under a trees so it definitely needs to be covered. The car shelter looks the best option, however my neighbours may disagree. I was looking to build a new garage, however I can't get planning permission due to already extending to the side. So I ...

Re: Indoor Car Cover
Hi I have a Stormforce cover, can be used inside or outside. Very happy with it. http://www.stormcarcovers.co.uk/products/porsche-car-covers-1 Hi apologies for hi-jacking the thread, but I am about to lose my garage space and so was looking at options. The Stormforce cover looks really good, do you...

Re: Village car meet
lovely part of the world. There is a Porsche meet at Lotherton Hall, 3rd July, not too far a drive down the A1. Usually a good turn out there, hoping to get my 912E sorted by then and driving. Although the paint will still be patchy to say the least

Re: Registering a US import 101
To update my previous post I got my V5C back from the DVLA on Wednesday so that was a turnaround in just over a week, to say I am pleased and impressed would be an understatement. More to the point I can now get some plates on my 912E and drive it... So just to confirm I had neither a letter of orig...

Re: Breakdown services
Try AutoAid, covers you and spouse for all your cars. There are some exclusions such as LHD, but it does cover my 1973 VW Camper. Its about £45 a year, however you do have to pay the recovery service they send out and then claim the money back from AutoAid. Its basically like an insurance policy. Th...

Re: Car transport needed
Hi if you haven't sorted this out already, I used Shiply.com its a site that allows various transport companies to bid for the job. You put in the details and they come back with a price, then you either accept or not as the case may be. Each company has reviews and shows their liability insurance c...

Re: Registering a US import 101
I have just sent off my documents for an imported 912E. I only sent off the bill of sale and car title. I didn't have a letter of origin, as mentioned above a certificate of conformity is not required. I did phone the DVLA but the person I got through to was next to useless, I was told to send what ...

Hello from a new 912E owner
Morning all, I have just imported a black 912E #1514 from L.A. Its nice and solid, bad paintwork, but seems to be good other than that. Its booked in for an MOT on Friday so we will soon see! So far all I have done is changed the lights to be UK spec. Already signed up to 912BBS and have been readin...
