Well Chris Turner's engine lasted 30 race seasons not bad at all![/quote]

Absolutely! It finished the season, and its competition career, with three class wins at Wiscombe Park 8)

Re: What did you do in/on/for your Porsche today?

Needs its own engine build thread I think? Sorry - I might have done it if I was building myself, but this technology is way above my knowledge. Always surprised something like a 996GT3 crank goes into an early engine! Assuming that’s what you are building of course It’s still a Mezger engine ……….....

Meanwhile, “somewhere in England”, parts are gathering for a new engine in the JW hillclimb 911. https://i.postimg.cc/kXWpTPjC/IMG_6295.jpg https://i.postimg.cc/nLhSVjnV/71f81f2c-2c47-4b76-87f1-1df7a830d985.jpg https://i.postimg.cc/4drW1WVn/54280778-a473-4ed2-8140-dd675fa1c983.jpg https://i.postimg....

Second question, what is the little spacer (item no. 6) in this diagram, part no. 911.341.615.00 ? (No longer offered)
Was it for USA cars ?

That looks like the steel bush in the middle of the rubber (or poly) bushes. It normally comes with the replacement bush kit.

Re: Oil analysis

That would have been a really interesting exercise on my old faithful 3.2 short stroke MFI engine that’s just retired after 30+ seasons of competition. There would have been more than one long bar showing on the graph!

Super tyres, but once the present stock has gone there will be no more, the Avon factory closes on December 31st

I have applied for a V5C for my latest Classic, a 1949 Ferguson TED 20. I have just received a letter from a lady in the “DVLA Central Capture Unit”
