Re: 1949 Humber town bike restoration
What a nice project! I will be interested to know how much the cost of chroming is if you go down that route rather than good used parts as I have a stripped down BSA needing similar levels of restoration. Quite like the Humber Sport posted earlier too. I used to work in a cycle shop and many of us ...

Re: 914 International 2023
I tried 90 mins after registration opened and it was full! Have just checked the site and previously the register link took you to the booking form which had the waiting list option. Perhaps there are already so many signed up they've closed it off?

x2 Reproduction Hockey Puck Horn Pushes
I recently bought one of these for myself from the same seller in Hungary Gary used - https://www.ddk-online.com/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?t=69814 Much the same as before, I bought the two others he had in stock for easy UK resale. I can post so long as the costs are covered, meet in London, or Classics ...

Re: London .. help on where to live
Some practical points: Use Waze for getting around when you visit as it picks up street driving restrictions. It's too easy to pass through a street which is pedestrian only during certain hours and then have a £65 ticket to pay. Parkopedia is great for showing a lot of paid parking spots in the are...

Re: 914 restoration project
Have a read over the below restoration thread by Darren C, as it's very thorough and shows the level of work required for a typical cheaper US import that's been off the road for a few years. https://www.ddk-online.com/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?f=4&t=51573&hilit=914+restoration Also take a good l...

Re: 914 restoration project
Greatworth Classics have an original 2.0 which is more of a running and driving project, though worth a call regarding pricing as it's listed lower on facebook marketplace (heading is '1972 Porsche 911')- https://greatworthclassics.co.uk/1972-porsche-914-4 The 'UK914' facebook group is quite active ...

The yellow 914 looks good - difficult to tell from the angle, but the rear arches might have been stretched rather than the usual flares. Great looking in any case!

Rolling 911 Shell in the Netherlands - no vin
Have seen this on the Cal Look Lounge which might be of interest. You need an account to see all the pics, but below is a taster. http://cal-look.no/lounge/index.php/topic,31778.0.html https://live.staticflickr.com/65535/51736193272_3322b2803d_c.jpg Cal Look Lounge 911 Shell by Steven Buckland , on ...

Re: Early Momo horn button
There is an instagram user going by _more_momo, who collects steering wheels and horn buttons. Worth a direct message if anyone is after one as they seldom come up on eBay. I was after a Jacky Ickx button and got a great example from him having been given a choice of 5+

Re: RHD 914 for salse...in Oz
Found another with a quick search, though pictures don't show much of the RHD conversion clearly. https://www.ebay.com.au/itm/194266599831?hash=item2d3b311197:g:6h8AAOSwX0NgrDVm A 914 is a rare car in Australia. Having lived in Melbourne for almost a year this was the only one I saw. There is a Pors...

Re: KS's hillclimbing odyssey
Really enjoying the updates on this and had an idea of what was coming when the sales list was posted. Your old 1800 heads are a good buy for someone - larger valves than stock ones and likely good quality hardware too! Would you mind sharing where you sourced the larger crank? Am also planning to b...

Four 15x5.5" Polished 5x130 Gas Burner Replica Wheels SOLD
Hello, I have for sale a set of four polished 15x5.5", 5x130, ET35 Mahle Gas Burner style replica wheels. These came with a project and have never been used or even fitted with tyres, just kept boxed for 5+ years. There are a few suppliers of these style wheels, but none I can find in the UK wh...

A set of four 14" x 5 1/2" Porsche Fuchs wheels ideal for a comfort spec early 911, 912, or 914/6. Will also suit Volkswagens such as a Beetle, Karmann Ghia, or Camper running taller tyres. A search of The Samba, will bring up an array of US vehicles running these size wheels.

Re: 2005 Mini Cooper S
I'd be inclined to get it on Collecting Cars - low mileage cars have shot up in value recently. More so if it's a JCW. I just collected an absolutely immaculate 2005 Merc CLK 200 Kompressor with 5,960 miles from Southampton for a winning bid of £6600 + £600 buyer's premium. Effectively a 15 year ol...
