Re: Wanted: Fanfare trumpet horn brackets

Thanks Mike and Mike.

I'm not near my car at the moment, so the best picture I can find is this:
Wing_BattBox_Bracket.jpg

Which suggests, combined with my original picture that the shorter horn mounts on the same bracket as the wing/bumper bracket which fixes to the battery box.

Cheers,

Chris

Re: Wanted: Fanfare trumpet horn brackets

Unfortunately there doesn't seem to be much appetite for supplying these brackets in the UK, so I'm going to order from Mr Boyer in Oz (thanks again for the link). If there's anyone interested in a pair let me know and I'll include with my order. The price I've been quoted is A$70 plus shipping. Che...

Re: Wanted: Fanfare trumpet horn brackets

Thanks Mike, I hadn't come across that thread in my search. Seems a bit daft to buy them from someone in Oz when they appear to be extremely straightforward to fabricate (as long as you have a template!). I'm surprised this hasn't been an issue during more restorations tbh, although there's been a r...

Wanted: Fanfare trumpet horn brackets

Hi, I've bought a pair of the OEM "fanfare" trumpet horns for my 71 911, but am struggling to find anyone who stocks the specific mounting hardware. The horn type and fitment are as shown in the below photo: http://farm9.staticflickr.com/8088/8527735070_3599060566.jpg 911_FanFare_Fitment b...

Someone tell Johnny Wilkinson he's only allowed to carry one ball in a game.

Re: O. T. B&W Zeppelin

I have the Zeppelin Air, which is excellent. Hooks up to your iTunes library via Wi-Fi, install the Remote App on your iPhone and you have full wireless remote control. No need to dock your iPod/iPhone unless you want to.

Sound quality is very good, I'd recommend them.

Re: Palmersport Trackday

I've done it a couple of times now and it is by far the best track driving experience I've ever had. The selection of cars is fantastic, and more importantly the instructors (typically experienced/current pro racers) are excellent and push you as fast as you want to (or can) go. I believe Lewis Hami...

Hi,

Very carefully! You need to prise the ring out of the metal boxy of the mirror - I'm not sure there's a trick to it, just care & patience.

Cheers,

Hi,

I just had a local glass firm cut a suitably sized mirror for me and then its a straightforward swap. Assuming you still have the plastic securing ring that is....

Hi Nick, The blue 911e on the Sunday was mine - we arrived a little late and spent most of the day tearing around after my son, who had a great introduction to motor sport with this event. We had a fun day, saw some great cars and will certainly attend next year if it returns. Congratulations on the...
