Re: 356 big European Trip
Perfect - the yellow and blue one is a 315 or 319. Nice one Jakki. Is this in Salzburg or Munich? I’ve lost track of where you are. Great trip you two.

Re: 356 big European Trip
Well. This trip has everything from Rooster’s testicles to grand opera, and Freddie Mercury thrown in for good measure. Never let it be said that Neil and Mrs B’s trips are anything but exotic. Keep the exotica coming Neil.

Re: Frazer Nash/BMW 319
But of course the car still wasn’t registered with its original number. And having the original number was really important to me for so many reasons. https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20240420/32f6c6767989b0a7281e96dd768cc3e3.jpg I wanted to buy back this car because it was my father’s. All the pict...

Re: Frazer Nash/BMW 319
The customs process had apparently gone without a hitch, and the only time plans had to be altered was when Nick found that, as anticipated, the big transporter wouldn’t fit through our gates. https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20240420/4953c037710bddab9085ff2482b6fb90.jpg https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn...

Re: Frazer Nash/BMW 319
Great write up and story Jeremy, I love anything like this. Keep the info coming. So we arrived back from Germany on the Thursday before Easter, and the transporter driver Nick Bagnall said he’d try and deliver the Frazer Nash/BMW to our house on the next Tuesday. A shout out here to the transport ...

Re: The Great Big DDK Meet of 2024!!!
Can I be +1 please Spit? - Trish has fond memories of the DDK flat 4 drives and wants to come along too. Here’s hoping there’ll be some 356’s and 914’s?

Re: The Great Big DDK Meet of 2024!!!
Great work Spit and Clive - while I’ve been in Germany seeing the Frazer Nash safely on the transporter (arrives tomorrow[emoji1696] [emoji1696]) you’ve really pulled this thing together. And Megaphonics has always been my first choice of the events - it was great last year. I can come aircooled now...

Count me in for the Saturday and overnight but I’ll be in my gen 1 GT3, because after Megaphonics in the morning I’m off to Prescott for the Steele events hillclimb!

Re: Frazer Nash/BMW 319
My cousin Tony and I left for Germany on Monday and yesterday we arrived in Greven to see the Frazer Nash/BMW for the first time, and get it loaded on the transporter. That first glimpse as Wolfgang Klinke opened his garage doors was captivating, the day that dog eared photos became reality. https:/...

Re: Frazer Nash/BMW 319
Thanks Jason. I really don’t know quite what I’ll think when I see it in the flesh for the first time, but splendid is probably the right word. It’s a totally different era of motoring for me!jb wrote:A wonderful story and a splendid car
