Re: My '72 911T
Wish I had that space Gary!! Here is mine - car is freshly Barry'd from the front, back to the doors. Luckily, one of the three bonnets that I had collected met his approval. I decided on new OEM wings as one of mine was toast behind the hockey stick shaped support and my attempts to 'fix' it with a...

Re: Jack receiver tube removal / installation help needed
Ahhh, but I have a cunning plan Gary - please let me know what you think... :compress: :bounce: 0 - cut out section of outer sill to provide access to the whole jack bracket area (done) 1 - drill out jack tube middle attachment to floor with (my large) spot weld cutter. 2 - slot the sheet metal imme...

Re: another 73T Targa restoration thread
During the last week, I was preparing to run the MFI engine before dropping it to take care of the back of the heel boards properly and do sill work without the weight of the engine. I last ran it 4 or 5 years ago (that wasn't the plan), following which I removed the fuel tank for front end panel wo...

Re: Jack receiver tube removal / installation help needed
Thanks for the tip - I thought it might be somewhere in that 'area' :P I've done a bit more digging online to try to locate the welds more precisely. I think I can see where the weld points are now, see my pics. - does anyone how if these were spot welds, plug welds or bead welds? Once I clean off t...

Jack receiver tube removal / installation help needed
Hi guys, I need to replace my jack receiver tube on one side.... Does anyone know how and where the jack receiver tube (not the outer bracket) is welded in? From all my digging and looking at photos online, it looks like the flat end might be welded to the underside of the floor, and possibly just i...

Potentially useful detailed photo gallery for 600 mile 70S
Just came across this really detailed photo gallery supposedly for a 600 mile 1970 'S' (USA car)... https://www.flickr.com/photos/80724421@N00/sets/72157630169538658/ Could be useful for originality checks... this has just helped me to get all of my under bonnet cable harnesses, fuel breather system...

New fuel tank - priming MFI pump
Hi guys, I am in the process of installing a new fuel tank and running the engine (2.4T MFI) before removing it for a rear end body resto. The original tank (has corrosion/hole) was removed for front body resto. I am looking for suggestions on the best ways to prime the MFI pump located behind the r...

Re: Porsche 968 Club Sport
Love it, and sounds like a lucky find !! I parked close by at work and drooled over a purple one with orange wheels and lettering, for years - it was strangely attractive in those colours too, especially next to my all black 996.... enjoy!
