Brand new early 911 brake master cylinder. Was going to use it on my 356c to creae dual circuit brakes but opted forge beetle version instead. I bought it from 911 Design. It cost £120 will take £70 for it.

356c RHD wiring Loom
Having a clear out having finally finished the restoration of my 356c. Selling a brand new wiring loom/harness. I bought it from a supplier in Germany but in the end the auto electrician traced the fault in my wiring loom and repaired it. It comes in 2 halves, basically either side of the fuse box (...

Re: Tyres for 356Sc
I opted for Mitchelin XZX on my 356c, I got them from Longstone tyres down portsmouth way. They will deliver them to anywhere in the country, they do the XZX 165SR15 for £115 each https://www.longstonetyres.co.uk/ You could also look at Brockley tyres, they specialise in 356's and put the boots on t...

Re: Roger Bray 356b Windscreen delivery help
I had the same problem as I live in Kent, after huge amounts of research i discovered that Pilkington own Sigla ( who were the OE screen supplier to porsche) Pilkington will supply you ( and crucially deliver) you a brand new screen for your 356 with either the Sigla or pilkington logo on it. They a...

Re: Which Engine Oil?
Million thanks to all of you, I thought I might get a few answers but seems it's a bigger topic that I'd imagined. I was keen to get it right as my engine cost a 5 figure sum to rebuild (which is not unusual) so I'm keen to minimise wear. as I spoke to Paul at PRS as they built my engine (which is f...

Which Engine Oil?
Hi, apologies to ask a question that probably pops up monthly but I’m trying to figure out what engine oil I should run in my car. It’s a 356c and has just been fully rebuilt. There are various threads on the 356 Registry but they seem to go on about various letters and codes other than the weight s...

Re: Gear stick lock key missing
Sierra Madre in California can take it apart and make a key for it. There might be someone in the Uk but I couldn't find anyone. Sierra madre can re build the lock with the original coade of your car if you want tobe super pedantic on the detail.

Re: Gear stick lock key missing
Hi, you do need a key to get the lock out unless you can get the pin out thats below, (which simply means removing the gear shift assembly - which is just a couple of bolts but there is a small amount of adjustment so mark where the gearshift assembly sits on the tunnel.) I had a key made for a lock...

Re: Porsche 356Sc fan cowl paint codes
I spent ages trying to track down the same info. In the end my engine was rebuilt by PRS which included getting the tinware re painted. I'm fairly certain they don't powder coat them, but prefer to get them enamel sprayed. Never then less I've got a full RAL colour book so will try and let you know ...

Re: Difference between 356 SC engine and same year 912 engin
The other significant difference between the engines is in the 3rd crank case piece (at the back with the engine number on it. The 912 as larger collared bolts holding it on (which are set into bigger machined holes, Also the 912 had an electronic tacho where as the SC mostly had the cable operated ...

Re: Vin plate location?
A RHD T6 uses the earlier fuel tank (apart from the very last of the 'C's the VIN plate is located sidewats in the small gap between the inner wing and the left hand side of the fuel tank, I've tried to attach a pic of my car before it was restored - you can also see the "made in Germany' badge...
