Thanks for checking on your car, on mine, the brackets on the boot lid align perfectly with the brackets on the rack, so if I remove the right hand grill it fits perfectly?? Wierd

Leitz Luggage Rack doesn’t fit
Hoping someone can help, I have an original Chrome Leitz luggage rack for my 356c. Trouble is, it doesn’t fit! The brackets on the rack do line up perfectly with the mounting brackets that were built into the engine lid but the right hand grill is in the way. The left hand grill seems ok with the fi...

Re: Reversing light on an SC
My 64 c has the live feed to the reversing light switched via the ignition switch. I also have the gear shift lock on mine and it does't light up the reversing light when left locked. It's supposed to be powered via fuse No.2 which is made live via terminal No. 30 (red wire) on the back of the ignit...

Re: Ignition switch losing 1-1.5v
Fit a starter relay, the relay will massively reduce voltage drop. there are a few kits out there. I made my own one by purchasing a 6 volt 50amp relay plus a few connector wires so I could locate it next to the ignition switch. There is a version out there which wires under the car to the starter m...

My 356c restoration
Ok, so I finally finished the restoration of my original UK supplied RHD 356c . .. well to be honest I finished it last year but didn't get around to posting about it. I bought her way back in 1996, drove it for 7 years then found a tiny bit of rust in the front spare wheel well. The more we peeled ...

Re: 912 case cracked. what to do?
Did you get your case fixed? I have a 912 case for sale. It's a matching case with all 3 pieces but you could always bolt your third piece onto it to kind of keep your engine number (albeit the 3 digit case number will differ - unless by a 999 to 1 shot they also match!!

Re: Porsche 356SC fuel pump
I think there is an 'O' ring on the actuator shaft - I've rebuilt 2 of these last year but I can't recall for sure. This website is very good for general porsche 356 fuel pump info

1963 VW Beetle Karmann Cabriolet rolling chassis for sale
Hi, Given all the extra red tape created by IVA I thought I'd offer my VW beetle Karmann Cabriolet beetle rolling chassis for sale. It has a log book in my name and is referenced as a convertible - which make it an ideal candidate for forming the basis for a speedster build (as it's already logged a...

Yep, It's a heater, it uses a small amount of your petrol from your fuel tank. I wouldn't run it unless it's been thoroughly overhauled.
