Re: Recharge your phone in a 6v car
Hi Neil, I had the same issue, As you mention USB only outputs 5 volts therefore there is enough voltage in a 6 volt car. There are a couple of options; The first is to buy a cigatette lighter adapter which modulates the voltage electronically rather than by ratio. I bought a 12 volt multi adapter f...

I bought a Dansk exhaust too from Design 911 - it fitted pretty well, I only had to use the medium sized hammer to help tease it on

The original Kardex for my UK supplied 356c states 'Mitchelin Tyres' as an optional extra.

Re: Generator Rebuild Options
Broadway Electrical - fantastic job, Rob really knows his stuff, I think most of the 356 parts suppliers (Roger Bray for example) use them.
They rebuilt my generator, plus 2 starter motors, all excellent. They can also rebuild you wiper motor too which is worth knowing

Re: Supplier needed
PRS have a huge amount of second hand parts so might be worth giving them a call to see if they could help? I know Mike from PRS is a regular on here so he might answer for you. But going back to your point about 356 spares prices - yes they are often eye watering but I think thats because they aren...

Re: Original Messko Tyre Pressure Gauge For Porsche 356C 911
I don't think this is correct for a 356c, the red is too bright, the version that was put in a 356'C' was a darker deeper red. It might be correct for a 912 or 911 though?

1952 '519' gearbox, hoop, driveshafts, tubes, drums & plates
Time to sell my very early 519 gearbox It's currently a complete trans-axel which came out of a car that had been in a front end crash in the late 60's. The gearbox has been dry stored ever since with mounting hoop, drive shafts, backing plates and rear drums. I'm going to split it into the followin...

Re: Fuel Gauge Bounce
Can I check, are you literally wiring the capacitor across the 2 terminals on the sender? I'd like to fit one on my car but wanted to check - or does it wire in series through on of the sender wires?

Re: Leitz Luggage Rack doesn’t fit
Thanks everyone, I did find a thread on 356 register which suggests I'm not alone with the problem, I seems the issue is the position of the 'C' shaped welded brackets in the boot lid, often the right hand set seem to be out - the solution is to remove the grill then carefullpy bend them using a qui...
