Re: NEC Show gossip and opinions?

A Ford Fiesta Turbo for 20K, a Ford Sapphire Cosworth for 26k (one of the worst cars i have owned...and thats when they were new), but a Series III Land Rover with 1 owner at 4k? Only one of those cars looks like value to me! Perhaps i am getting tight

Re: When someone steals your work...

That was my immediate thought too, its a bad attempt at a Tim Layzell piece! Imitation is the sincerest form of flattery i guess.
And I would agree that the artist used the photo image as the basis for his composition.

Re: Finnish Francesca, 1973 targa resto

With the quality of work on these pages it always strikes me a shame that these cars have to be painted! I had to drop something at a very large house this week, amongst all the usual modern exotica in the (private) road sat a Land Rover Series IIa - a quick walkaround showed that the car had had a ...

Re: O/T - non Porsche - Caterham

The spec of car Andy had must be the ideal for the 7? The roads are just too full today, and performance modern cars are becoming irrelevant imho, . Couldn't agree more, such a shame but sports cars are pretty much a waste of time around here unless you are just into polishing them and looking at t...

Re: O/T - non Porsche - Caterham

I have to say i had never given Caterhams a second look until i saw this one at Goodwood recently. For the road i would imagine skinny tyres and a modest engine would provide bags of fun at relatively sensible speeds and personally i think the looks of this car suit the original design really well. ...

Re: What does being a member of the GRRC get you?

First of all, let me state that despite my DDK tag name, I have no affiliation to Goodwood. I was offered membership a few years back, but declined after deciding that, for me at least, there was very little gain and certainly no value. At the Revival I like to explore as much as possible, and there...

Re: 993 restoration

Really enjoying this thread, i think the colour looks wonderful, so many cars in the last 20 years or so were silver, black or dark grey metallic. I am never bothered about originality when it comes to colour, so long as vehicles are preserved and get used. (no offence meant to any proud owners of c...

Re: Goodwood Revival — Advice

I would recommend walking a lap, its a relief from the crowds that centre along the straight from Woodcote down to Madgwick, I really like the fast section through Fordwater and St. Marys. Over the road is also a little less clustered as there is more open space in which to move around, overall its ...
