Re: Village car group run

very cool. We have a classic car run in our village every year as part of a village festival. The run usually starts with everyone in the church car park, where the scouts do bacon sandwiches on the bbq and lots of people come to look. Then the cars go off for a circa 80 mile run getting back around...

Re: Road tripping to the Dolomites

I think that is going to always be my dilemma on a euro trip. My 912E is a 2.2, so great for twistys etc, but on the autobahn some of the guys I was with were doing 130mph+ (in water pumpers), due to ongoing issues I was in the Boxster so could keep up. In the E there is no way and I would have been...

Re: Road tripping to the Dolomites

I love reading reports like this, keep them coming. On the B500, on a trip to Stuttgart a couple of weeks ago it was the worst road we went on. It was a tick in the box, I knew I would be disappointed and it had cameras, but I couldn't believe the last few miles into Baden Baden it was 50kph. So bor...

Re: Wobbly wing mirror

I read a tip of putting in the correct position and then doing something similar to the above but with superglue. Downside of this is if you ever need to adjust it again. Mine on the passenger side still drops and tbh I never use it anyway, so its just purely cosmetic now.

Re: DDK & Z-club breakfast meet at The Motorist - 14th May

Thanks James for organising, was good to put faces to names, rather than cars. Hopefully I will have a car I can park with you guys next time. Although I definitely won't be able to keep up on the drive there :)

Re: DDK & Z-club breakfast meet at The Motorist - 14th May

Excellent, I'll see some of you at Ferrybridge. I'll either be in a silver Boxster or hopefully a black 912E. Nothing like a bit of jeopadry before a road trip

Re: DDK & Z-club breakfast meet at The Motorist - 14th May

Hi James, add me into the reserved parking just in case. I am trying to be positive that the car will be fixed, if not there is no problem with spare spaces. The marshalls honestly don't care. Also as an FYI from previous experiece, they cone off an area until you arrive. Make sure you put the cones...

Re: DDK & Z-club breakfast meet at The Motorist - 14th May

The reserved parking works well and the marshalls are good at making sure only the right cars get it. I have done it a couple of times for larger events like Bnagers and Cash / Collecintg Cars. I am currently without my car (again), loss of oil pressure this time, hopefully just the pressure relief ...

Re: where to buy 123 dizzy for my 356

I bought mine from here. You can get them from the EU, but I bought mine during Covid and wanted a UK supplier that I could then go back to easily in case of issues - https://www.scparts.co.uk/
