Thanks again guys for your advice. Alan, I've had 40mm Webers on a 2.2, which strangely enough I bought from you!!!!! This is the engine my old man is liberating from the 914. He has bought a 2.2E to race with the HSCC, but the engine is smoking like a trooper and I reckon it's down on power too. So...

Again, thats just what i needed to hear! Flames - even better! Plans to convert the 914 back to original in order to race in the HSCC, have been put on hold and i think i will stick with flat six power for a while yet. Thanks guys for your help. I think I may have found an engine, in fact, I might h...

Thanks Simon, Just what I wanted to hear!!! The other thing I forgot to ask, is whether the engine will mate up to a 901 box. I thin it should, but needed to ask! Also, what size Webers are you using for the engine? Any idea of final power output? The engine I'm looking at is 188bhp unit from an 198...

3.0 on carbs

Morning, I'm sure this post should be in another section but i needed a quick answer. Some git is stealing my 2.2 from my 914 (my Dad) and I need another engine. I was thinking about a 3.0 SC engine for easy torque/grunt etc. My question is, can these be easily made to run on carbs or am i best off ...

Morning Chaps! Just saw this thread and thought it was quite interesting. I was also there on Sunday as it was my old man who is running the dark blue 911E in the 70's Roadsports. Those of you who mentioned restrictions on Porsches are absolutely right. The guy who used to run the series is a die ha...

Thanks everyone for your help. If somebody does have a set of crappy ones, that would be good. Crispin apparently, is a stickler for the rules when it comes to MoT's and has insisted I get orange repeater lenses and the proper Euro units up front. :| I will drop both Forest Fine and Stateside an ema...

I have a friend going on honeymoon to San Diego next week. Are there any places out there he could pick some up for me?

If i do manage to find some over here, they're going to be expensive aren't they?

Arse.

Never mind.

Thanks for your positive words and suggestion!

Rear light lenses.

Hello Chaps, Does anybody have any euro lenses for rear lights on 73 914? If not, does anybody know where I can get some cheap? I also need the front indicator/sidelight units with lenses. Unfortunately, I need these double quick as the old girl is due to come out of hiding with a 2.2E engine instal...

Twin Plugging

I have been following this thread with interest. I have been browsing the mittelmotor website and they appear to offer a twin plug dizzy. I have no idea whether it's the same as any of the ones that you guys are referring to, but it looks pretty snazzy! It costs roughly £1500 with caps going for aro...

Spa

Morning! Glad you like the pics, I have more but not really of Porkers. I hope everyone likes the 917 at La Source hairpin. My digital camera has a ridiculous amount of delay between pressing the button and it actually taking the pic. That particular picture took 5 laps! As for prices etc. We went w...

The Spa Six Hours

Hello there. I thought you guys might like to see some of the pictures I took last weekend at Spa. If any of you have never been, I saw nothing about it on the site, then I recommend you go next year. DDK trip perhaps? Weather for Spa was fantastic, the racing awesome, everyone was super friendly. W...

Le Mans '05

It seems to me that a couple of people are on the Speed ferries crossing to Boulogne. Me and my old man will also be on the ferry at 11:15 but will be departing from North London. He will be in a Gulf Blue 356 A GT rep and me in my white 914/6 conv. Might even have the GT arches on by then! Should b...

Le Mans

It's a good Idea! My dad and I have already booked our ferries, if this post had of gone up last year, you guys could have also enjoyed our FIFTY QUID! crossings to Boulogne. We are sailing on thursday at 11:00 and returning Monday at around 21:00. As for camping, I think we are going for Terte Roug...
