Hi
Has anyone got a spare outer seat rail support for a 1971 car kicking about? Only have one for some reason!
Many thanks
Richard

Looks great Richard, what a good colour!
Noticed you went with the original inner trailing arm bush bolts that make removal impossible with engine in. on mine I made a bolt with split pin and castellated nut on the inside so it could be removed without any major traumas.

Steering rack refirb question?
Hi everyone I'm sure that many have embarked down the route of overhauling their steering racks? Question is: on rebuild, does anyone know how far out you screw the rubber bushed tie rod ends from the locking plate (by the steering rack boot) and what is it's correct orientation with regard to the t...

Re: Priming a shell
Hi Peter Richards right you'll have quite along time before the shell starts to deteriorate if you keep it dry and well aired. You'll need to assess work required before you cover it with paint and you can clean and prime repaired areas as you go. There's no point in priming things you are going to ...

Thanks everyone, good advice. Ihave the old door so grafting in the odd bracket wont be a problem and a crash bar makes sense to me too.

Differences in doors
Hi Can anyone tell me if there's a difference between early (pre 73 911T) doors and the latter doors fitted to the impact bumper cars. I was wondering if the new replacements from Porsche are made to fit all models or if there is an obvious difference which can't be modified to original spec? I unde...

Re: Tangerine to clear coat or not.
I used Glasurit products for many years and found them top of the heap in both quality and price! There are other paint manufacturers our there (Nexa, the old ICI, Standox etc) who also produce very fine products, which to the customer will be indistinguishable. It's all down to how good the person ...

Re: Air compressor garage set up
Hi Matt The main thing you should be worried about is the CFM delivered by your compressor. If using air tools or spraying with an air fed mask (which you should be if using modern 2K paints) you will need a compressor with a high constant delivery. This is the most important part of your set up alo...

Re: Stonechip paint
Clean area up and apply a good primer on the bare metal. Then spray Upol Gravitex with Shultz gun over area fading in to match original. Rattle cans tend to be over thinned to allow the flow through the spray nozzle. Colour as required.
