There is a hotel right by the entrance to Port Meirion,a lot more reasonable than the one inside. Road from Dolgellau/Barmouth/Harlech/up to PM is great no fixed cameras. In my experience mid Wales is generally camera free,you'd want to avoid school holidays as the roads are not so condusive to maki...
