Re: Restoration of my 1971 911T Targa

Hi Neil,
You're doing a good job on the car. Just wondering how you managed to straighten the rear lights, as one of mine is slightly bent and needs straightening.

Re: Colour conundrum - opinions please..

I'm having the same conundrum, it's a 1970 RHD 911e matching numbers car having a ground up restoration. The original colour is Bahia Red which I'm not terribly fond of. I've always liked slate grey and Leaf green, my 912 was Irish Green which I liked. My heart says Leaf green but my head says Bahia...

Re: Trailing arm bushing

Managed to get the bushes out OK.Fitted Rennline high density bushes to the upper trailing arms, Elephant Racing bushes to the spring plates and to the front drop links. The car is a 1970 RHD 911e and I'm doing a full restoration. The shell is with Steve KertI at Classic Fabrications and will need a...

Re: Trailing arm bushing

After looking more closely and scraping away the powder coating looks like the old outer sleeves are still in. Going to be fun to get out . Came out easier than I thought they would!

Trailing arm bushing

Need some help. Bushings for the trailing arm to chassis arrived today but they're too big. They're Rennlist and advertised as 65 to 89. My car is a 1970 911e the trailing arm is 30mm the bushings sent are 34mm. Any help would be appreciated.

Re: Got a new motor

Lovely story Jeremy. Really enjoying this post as I expect all on DDK are. I found Adrian and Graham very helpful when selling my 912 :( My 911e is with Steve KertI for him to start on the bodywork.
Regards Stefan.

911E Emblem

Hello,
I'may looking for a 911E emblem that fixes onto the glove box. Bit of a long shot but worth a try.
Cheers Stefan.

Gulf Blue Carrera

Came down through the Exe Valley today from Wheddon Down to Tiverton. Had a Gulf Blue 911 RHD Carrera behind me most of the way reg SLR85M. Very nice looking car, just wandering if he's a DDK'er. He must have been frustrated as we were stuck behind a car who liked to sit on 35mphow most of the way, ...

Fog light bracket

I'm after two foglight brackets that are welded onto the front bumper someone at sometime cut mine out.
They're for a 1970 911. Would be willing to buy a complete scrap bumper.
Thanks Stefan.

Re: Confused!

Thanks Andy, Your wiring diagram is the same as an SL 35 diagram. This is what puzzles me why the wiring to the fuses on both cars do not match the diagram. Could the fuses on the 70 cars be wired differently to the 71 models? It seems sometimes Porsche like to do one year only feature on their cars...

Confused!

I'm tidying up the wiring harness on my 1970 MY year 911e, build date 1st November 1969. It has the 10 and 8 gang fuse boxes. I've been trying to locate the correct wiring diagram for this model. The SL 35 diagram does not tally up with my car which looks original and unmolested. I've also had access...

Re: Hope there’s some metal left

I’m not sure, to be honest. It’s with Steve Kirti who I have complete faith in.
