Re: Adjustable front anti-roll bars in UK/Europe

I have Ben Coles' bars on the 2.8 RSR lookalike (19mm Front, 22mm Rear) and will use them one size bigger for the 3.0 RSR racecar. Choice of really good base settings and very useable adjustment range to suit on track conditions (wet/dry) or road or track bias. Don't remember the exact price, but I ...

Re: Suspension advice on fast road car

To confuse you a little more, some thoughts from personal experience. If you just want to have another example, please skip my ramblings and go straight to the end. Some general stuff: -Don't rely on descriptive advice from 'specialists': 'RSR' or 'RS' doesn't say anything about the specs or perform...

Re: Newbie intro

Dave, welcome at DDK. I'm pretty new here myself, but since you're a fellow 930 driver I just have to reply. DDK has been a great place to source stuff, get advice and read up on some interesting builds. My 930 is an 86 in slate grey metallic (of course with a 4 speed 915 box). Despite all the hype ...

Re: 3.0 RS Look

I ordered 3.0 RSR parts from www.dmoris-styling.com. I also had the parts on a 911 2.7 shell I bought. They also sell 3.0 RS kits. Fantastic quality and excellent service (packaging, response to questions, flexibility, etc...). They're long time OEM supplier to Porsche, Techart, etc... With the curr...

Re: VDO restoration

I have used Loek Rijsenbrij here in Holland to have a speedo converted. Loek is a retired VDO technician who was given VDO's the entire stock of manuals, tools etc... when he went into retirement. Very knowledgeable and a really nice fellow. He lives and breathes instruments (a man has got to have a...

Re: Picture submissions for the 2016 DDK Calendar - please

Thanks! It's me on a trackday last August. Car handles like a dream. For this track I set the car up a little softer on the bars and shocks. This and knowing the track quite well compensated for modest power compared to some of the more modern equipment running on the day. Got some surprised looks b...

Re: New member from Low Countries

Thanks Dan! Rest assured, 'your' car is being well taken care of. I treated the old lady to some new Ohlins dampers, all rubber suspension bushing have been replaced by polybronze ER bushings and uniballs, it's a little stiffer on the springs and it has beautiful adjustable anti roll bars front AND ...

Re: Goodwood Revival

Might be my imagination but were the Cobras in the TT going much faster than usual? They used to be middle of the pack but now seem to be the car to beat. I guess that's your imagination: Ollie Bryant has been a front runner for some years now as has David Hart, last years TT winner in a Cobra. Whe...
