Re: Query about importing a car from the US
Thanks for your help everyone. I'll let you know how I get on. The Bti process has been dropped. Now you just have to complete a historical vehicle declaration to promise that you wont use it as a daily driver. In other words you are not going to replace a newer vehicle, on which you/someone would h...

Query about importing a car from the US
I have a question for anyone who has imported a car from the US. The back ground is I've agreed the purchase of a 911 from a classic car dealer in Florida. In the ad, the dealer said he said he had clear title for the car. The title document is in someone else's name but it has been signed by this p...

Re: My new "Sports Purpose"
Hi Magnus,
The car looks great and I think you have done the right thing. As enthusiasts, if we can't drive and enjoy the car then there is no point having it.
Can I ask what shifter you have fitted and where you got the 917 style wooden knob? How is the shift feel?

It looks very nice from the photos.
They should put the advert up on here, if I was selling a car like this it would be one of the first places I'd advertise.

What is required to get the 1303 upto the 200 mile range? Is it just more batteries?

Re: Ducktailing it to the Targa
What an absolutely fantastic trip!
I have really enjoyed reading this, thank you both for taking the time to write it. Some really great photos too.
This has most definitely been added to the 'must do' list.

Collected this, a Triumph Thruxton R, a month ago but have only managed 143 miles so far. http://i190.photobucket.com/albums/z132/CQDBSV8/IMG_1529_zpsgerofe01.jpg Here with a friend on his 2002 Thruxton on a ride out around the Breacon beacons. http://i190.photobucket.com/albums/z132/CQDBSV8/IMG_136...

Re: Registering a US import 101
I've just had my application rejected for registering my 1975 911S imported from Japan. Despite having the Letter of Origin from Porsche, they also wanted a Dating Certificate from Porsche Club GB. I spoke to them and the rationale seemed to be that they need to make sure the car exists and that som...

I'd be interested in a SW meet. I'm not sure what dates I can do but I'll keep an eye on this thread (please add me to the list).

Re: Name that car
Although CQuest8 (what does he do for a living ?) was probably going to get there sooner or later. That is lovely, not sure I would have got all the way there though! Since you asked, I work in London (in post-production) but live in Devon. My username is my first initial and part of my surname. Ch...
