Re: Porsche 912 "Lucy"
Evening all. Have been frustrated with the door gaps and sill clearances for a couple of weeks. I had bought some doors from a later model from a guy in Munich, but I am finding that the original doors that came with Lucy, complete with dings, fit much much better. I am aware that these cars were ha...

Re: Porsche 912 "Lucy"
Guten Abend zusammen, A combination of illness and a broken camera have kept me from updates for the last couple of weeks. However some progress has been made. Been a nice change to do some sub assembly work. Pedals. Before and after http://i1319.photobucket.com/albums/t673/zeb111/Porsche%20912/DSCN...

Re: Removing paint from bit's that shouldn't be painted
Hi Andrew, Have had a smilar problem on parts of my 912 with gold overspray.... Would agree with Darren's thinners idea but I have been using Acetone on parts that that I know can handle its agresiveness. Chrome for example will clean up well with Acetone. Plastics need testing before hand, but mine...

Re: 912 outlaw project
Hi Chris Is it your intention to register the vehicle as Historic with the H Kennzeichen in the People Rebubic? Or were you just determining the value for insurance reasons? Interesting to see the documentation you have collected as this is what I envisage dong with my 912 eventually. Keep cracking ...

Re: Porsche 912 "Lucy"
I have seen the K&N filter used on a couple of cars in the States. I am a bit reluctant to pass the oil mist through the right hand bank carburettor. On my engine the original breather was just a pipe was just routed to below the engine and vented to atmosphere. At some point the engine has been...

Evening all. Quick update. Picked up some bits and pieces while in the UK from Demon Tweeks and Merlin Motorsport. Re: Oh yes another 1973 rhd 2.4E
Hi, nice progress. My tip with the wiring loom is taking your time, particularly when the wires pass through/under the rear bulkhead as space is at a premium. Porsche in their wisdom made the space really tight! Don't be tempted to cut any wires either as it will cause unreliability later. We used l...

Hang in there Neil. We all experience project block now and again. I often find myself traling U Tube to get my Mojo back. Some of the Magnus Walker stuff is very re-motivating.
