Re: 66 SWB 912 full resto
Evening. Nice progress and another great home resto. Hope the kids are enthusiastic about it. I am interested to know if you are using 100% Porsche OEM rear quarter panels as I have to perform this exact surgery on Lucy in the near future. I was talking to Design911 a the NEC Classic Car show and th...

Re: Porsche 912 "Lucy"
Hi everyone, Have completed the restoration of the alternator regulator, fuse box and heated windscreen relay mounting plate. Changed tack halfway through from cap head to the more traditional cheese head bolt head bolts. Think they fit with the cars age from the late 60's much better. http://i1319....

Re: Back in beige
Engine in! When the finally engine runs, they ignition system will hopefully fire to the funky rhythm of New Orleans in 1968 (or I think this may be '69, either way...): https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4_iC0MyIykM http://i493.photobucket.com/albums/rr291/jamlip/Porsche/download_zpsr5kltgjn.jpg Hi J...

Re: Porsche 912 "Lucy"
Evening all. A long time since my last post. Not been idle however. Carbs have been rebuilt. Recomend a genuine Weber kit. Velocity stacks are from Eurocarb in the UK. Beautiful turned aluminium parts and a joy to work with. http://i1319.photobucket.com/albums/t673/zeb111/Porsche%20912/DSC01036_zps3...

Re: 66 SWB 912 full resto
Wow, some serious fabrication required here. Don't panic though, it's all do able. Just a good plan and some time. Can recommend the Restoration Design metal, though the OE Prsche panels are the best, so long as you are willing to pay double the price. Avoid the Dansk stuff....

Re: Porsche 912 "Lucy"
Good evening everyone, it has been a long time since my last update. Both sills are mounted and the rear floor section has been loosly installed for checking. http://i1319.photobucket.com/albums/t673/zeb111/Porsche%20912/DSC00916_zpsfn4e5rrv.jpg http://i1319.photobucket.com/albums/t673/zeb111/Porsch...

Re: 1973 911E RHD Light Ivory and ex NZ...another one.
A lovely thread and some great pictures.
Unbelievable what Barry can fabricate! Looks like a lot of Restoration Design panels are being used?
All the best with the next stages...

Re: Porsche 912 "Lucy"
Evening all. Techno Klassika Essen was again worth the trip. Some nice stuff about, but prices are out of control. 120.000 € for an early 911..... Turbo was lovely. http://i1319.photobucket.com/albums/t673/zeb111/Porsche%20912/DSC00435_zpsb7kjrtxx.jpg http://i1319.photobucket.com/albums/t673/zeb111/...
