Re: New DVLA system for imports

Sorry to hijack your thread but i am having difficulty with the V55/5 form, filling it out is a nightmare. I do have an office about 25 miles away so can i still go there to get the car registered quickly and because the car was imported 10 years ago with a customs A4 sheet with customs number on it...

Air Blower box, for left hand drive 1970 911T.

Looking for an air blower box for left hand drive 1970 911T. (Water drain tube on offside of car)

The flaps and motor are not required, just the box that screws to the bonnet air vent will do (I only need the back).

Kind Regards

Jeff

Door Stay Reinforement Kit?

Ive been searching for a door stay reinforcement kit here in the UK but can't find anything anywhere, i just wondered of you guy's had any stock of said item or is there another way to fix a broken door stay problem? I didn't realise it was broken until the door was bolted on :cussing: Regards Jeff

Re: Time for some tuning.

It is a hard misfire, all the base gaskets have been replaced and the carb hoses/ pipes have also been replaced. I am fairly sure the idle jets have somehow got blocked, that is my first job on Tuesday. I see there is a cold start solenoid on the right bank of one of the carbs that i need to check (...

Re: Time for some tuning.

Definitely have a spark Gary, I will check as soon as i get a chance on Tuesday. Do those idle jets work at all times? i ask that because the engine is lumpy even when it's revved, but as usual its difficult to tell if it is lumpy at higher revs because the engine is working faster.

Re: Time for some tuning.

Thanks Guys, Handy website you have Gary. Yea i don't expect the engine to run smooth as silk but i would like the 2 cylinders back that seem to be lacking fuel (None to be precise) so if the 2 cylinders are firing blanks would i need to remove the main jet and check for blockages? It was running fi...

Time for some tuning.

I found this website (http://www.suggate.co.uk/new_site/articles/page4.htm) the other day about the very same carbs i have on my 1970 2.2T, i started up my car for the very first time last Thursday and it obviously needs setting up. I have bought an air meter so i can balance the carbs properly, so ...
