Its the US fuel vapour breather system, The black canister is a carcoal filter. It can be removed and simplified. I'm going to remove it from mine, but I havent got the details of what can go & what to keep... someone else will know more.

I got some POR-20 (made by POR-15) High temp aluminium finish paint from frost to use. Not tried it yet but usually POR is very good. Hello all, Can someone tell me the correct length of the exhaust studs on a 2.2T? The ones I took off were too long -40mm (they were very nearly flush with the end of the barrell nut which made them awkward to undo) Maybe my barrel nuts were not deep enough?
