Homologation would be required on many overseas events I think, Belgium as an example or if doing an FIA event.

VERY loud, think 120 -140db. I navigated for Brian Powley in West Cork 1990 in 2 BRX his 911/tr and it was bloody loud. He used set off the car alarms of parked cars.

A good friend ( Ted and Karen Gaffeny) who are doing the rally of the tests this weekend in a MIni gave me a copy of the book on Monday. It really is the most amazing book, massive detail on the cars. The years mostly covered are 1973-1983, no historic stuff. Great evocative photos. I ve rallied her...

I don't know Nick, there are some truely awful Porsche Colours, like the Sepia Brown my 2.4S came in. I've chosen to paint mine in a colour I like as I hope to keep the car for at least ten more years. By that time it can be repainted by the next owner as he/she likes or back to original.
