Re: The £110k 2.4S

Re the comment €40k in 2008, while true maybe it does not take into account the fact that in 2008 most 2.4S models were in a sorry state mechanically and bodily. I know becaused I owned one then and still do. Mine cost €7000 in 1988 when I bought it. They were not worth much and really the rust just...

Re: Italian delivered cars

My 1972 Porsche 911 S is being restored at present. Before I sent the car off to 9M for a full job two years ago I removed the metal ID plate in case it got lost. My COA and also a letter from Porsche in 1990 says my car was Italian and Bolonga delivered, however my plate does not have the little M ...

Re: 2.2/2.4S v 2.4ST v RS v RSR

Any Rep has to be valued at the sum of what's gone into it, and how well it was done, and the present condition of body and mechanicals. A good rep, like the one owned by Squiredan above will be a joy to drive because it's well executed. Likewise, a cheaper rep will be cheaper for a reason. One thin...

You know it's featured in the late Mark Copelands Book " Porsche 911 in Irish Rallying ". Book just released posthumously late last year.

Re: Early 911 specialists near Cambridge

Yep , thats me ! I did the Deutche Marque Series with them in 2012 which became Modern Classics last year. Looking forward to another year with the CSCC. A great club and varied cars ensure close racing in all classes of Modern Classics. I intend to take it to the RS Oulton Day on 14th March as it's...

Re: Early 911 specialists near Cambridge

Richard Chamberlain who's based in Huntingdon looks after my 993 RSR Cup race car and has done work on my 2.4S as well. I'd recommend him.
His company is CTR Developments Ltd

Re: Is this feasible?

Owning/restoring an old 911 is a dream, but you need to work hard on the dream and be focused. Just keep at it, and dont compromise on rust cure/surgery/prevention as it could become your nightmare otherwise.

The gearbox was opened by 9M in Warrington today and good news, it;s almost perfect. Sometimes it's worth buying sight unseen !

Fuchs

Hi Alan,

I'm looking for a set of 4 Fuchs 6x15 for my 1972 S. While I already have one deep 6 and one shallow 6 I suppose I'd find it easier to buy a full set of 4 ? I'd want them delivered to Colin Belton at 9M in Warrington.

regards from Cork Ireland
