Re: The joys of selling a 911 privately.....

Simples, I obviously paid too much for the S!

Now, will you buy my fabulous 1996 Honda NSX Targa manual before I go and advertise it on PH please? Perfect car for road and track.

Re: Long Distance Restoration 1970, 911T

Ah I see you are having work done in the US. Would be interested to know why or if there is a travel plan afterwards for you both! Does the factory air con still work?

Re: Long Distance Restoration 1970, 911T

Has the car arrived in blighty and what is the next step for you - a labour of love with your own skinned knuckles and swarfega (why does noone mention that anymore) or getting someone to check the car and do the uk preliminaries? Many many examples on here of both sorts, I am sure advice would be f...

Re: Outdoor carcoon; the final go

I only have an indoor one for in a damp garage, but essentially the same thing. I am putting a basic dehumidifier within on a low setting which I can empty every week and thus I expect no issues. You have a moisture problem however created- as you have power, perhaps this is the failsafe option? One...

This is not the first time the first time this particular vendor has come to light on ddk as a totes hand shandy. Be careful out there. A bit of spit and polish don't make it so. Shiny sh1 t sells.

Re: Sold my 2.2S...

Ah yes all home safe and sound. Had to go down the kings road as there was a Chelsea match on (honestly!). Joe public love it and so do I. Fond memories of my first one, a 2.4 t/e import. It makes a great noise, especially the pops and bangs on the over run. Shame the bulk of the journey was. On the...

Re: Sold my 2.2S...

and so armed with my AA card (I could not possibly need it) and a coat I will take ownership of this beautiful car today. I hope it doesn't mind being driven in the rain but it will have a cosy carcoon to come home to. Pics to follow on a new thread soon. I'll do my best to diarise the adventures in...

Re: 2.5 ST Rep

Gbp103k is the asking in the ad. Which ever way you look at it, seems a lot for a non accurate rep, and I think the 'S' comparison is fair in price terms.

Re: Cloud Cuckoo Land….

get in touch with a chap called "Bund" on pistonheads. He is looking for one and has owned plenty of expensive cars in the past. no idea what he'd think of the price but he might conclude it's the one to buy on condition.

Re: Sold my 2.2S...

Thanks all - and to Mark. He has been fastidious in his ownership of the car. It's a bit like a Patek Philippe I think! Second bite at the cherry on this actual car as I had been in early discussions with Alan @ Canford when building it back in 2010/11. Once Dan has educated me in the easy way to po...

911E. Any DDK knowledge?

Having recently missed out on a lovely S, I have been looking more closely at the very few cars that are for sale. This popped up on Pistonheads and I would be grateful for any of the usual knowledge of car, history etc that the DDK massive regularly display, by PM or open discussion here. It looks ...

Re: Great Day Out - Goodwood last Tuesday !

I shall apologise in advance to Bootsy if cross posts are frowned upon but I was just looking at the Goodwood forum as they were thereof the day and asked to take some pics and footage of the Ferrari. http://fortyonesix.com/news/1526/on-track-today-ferrari-250-gt So what's a continuation? Posh name ...
