Re: DDK Scottish Highland Tour - 22/25 August 2014

Hello everyone. I am keen to join, but less keen on the motorway schlep from London to Scotland and back which might be a bitter pill next to the fabulous roads of Scotland, notwithstanding the mileage. Has anyone looked into transporter hire for one or more cars to take that strain? Or is there a ...

Wonderful idea! And of course I agree on Alan's 2.2s thread. So much that I eventually bought it.

But you should of course over-inflate the tyres and if poss roll it around every once in a while.

Re: Deep 6s run without tubes

Not wishing to hijack, but, I have wondered this recently, partly from a grip/ safety aspect and partly from the desire to preserve the original beautifully refurbished deep 6's.

From where do I get a (repro?) set of Fuchs which are designed to take a modern tubeless tyre?

Re: Robert Barrie trackday at Goodwood

Looks good. I had a similar experience at a recent GRRC 105db day - much more track time than in the past - they seem more relaxed about using a noise envelope now than simply limiting number of cars. I was clay pigeon shooting at Cowdray park but did not finish in time to pop by. It was however ano...

This is looking great and good to see they are keeping you well updated. Will you be able to see the shell inmperson before it goes to paint? just a question which is not borne of any superior knowledge, merely what i have seen more often in the resto threads- I notice the car is not on a jig (just ...

1970 UK RHD 911 2.2S - Diary

Having benefitted from all the information and knowledge that gets shared every day on DDK, I want to create an owners diary of the car I recently purchased from Drmark. A reminder! 1970 UK supplied RHD 911 2.2S, matching numbers car. I am the 10th owner of RSR 763H and the Odometer shows 29,800mile...

Re: Macan

I had wondered whether this would make a costless change from our 2.5yr old cayenne diesel as we move towards throwing the prams and child seats in the bin. Looks like the Madeleine is a 51k car in s or diesel, modest spec, which seems a lot. On first glance at the configurator, there are some aggra...

Re: The joys of selling a 911 privately.....

The red is a sort of yellow colour. It's the same red/ yellow colour on every panel! Its calledindi pearl which is an obvious reference to the Indianapolis 500. I think Senna drove it. Maybe even in this series. Not this actual one, but other ones, so that makes it worth twice book value. The pop up...
