Re: My car pic , take two
NEVER put a VW motor into a Porsche that didn't come with one, (912E / 914). That's like murder, unless of course, your a cariminal. You'll regret it.

Re: 911 vs 912
I think the best setup is to have both. My 912 enables you to use all the HP it has to offer. The 911 takes a bit more maneuvering of the throttle and the additional rear weight to drive the same course. I enjoy both. One major 911 plus is the sound of that bad ass flat 6. Nothing sounds better. I e...

Re: Bumper Guards
I'm in the states but it seems that every time I go to a swap meet there are many. S trim or not. They're not that hard to find. I found these for $75 and they even had the plastic back that hides top anchor and they are originals http://i1296.photobucket.com/albums/ag4/ultra912/bumperguardsfinished...

I can't afford to do that yet, but it is a goal of mine. Thinking 2.2.
Again, I know the mirrors suck.

Re: Tyres for 912/911
You asked if you can go wider? Yes. If you are looking for period correct the suggestions above are what your looking for. I have 205/55/15. They are wider but won't look right unless your vehicle stance is lower. I have heard that Porsche delivered cars lower for Europe than here in the states http...

Re: my 912
I have 205/15's also. Too low always looks good to me. But it has it's flaws and handling is not one of them for me. My car had 165/80 when I bought it. Drove like shite. I then rebuilt the suspension with sway bars, konis and 205's and it drives like a go cart. Can't negotiate some speed bumps sinc...

Re: my 912
I must agree, that is too low but it looks damn nice. I love a lowered stance. The shot of the paint is absolutely gourgeous. Mine isn't that low and I still need to be conscious of the road. I like the Ultra912 header. My username is my boat and car together. The boat is an Ultra Shadow and of cour...

That looks fantastic Ferry Man and zigzag123. I have dreams at night of images like those. The naked blonde sitting backwards with her butt on the steering wheel is the only thing missing . Love those seats!

Re: Another tyres question...
My Nitto Extreme Performance 205/55/15's have always performed well for me and they have the look that I like. The road is a bit louder and the speedo needs calibration but I'm not driving straight lines with comfortability and high mph on an autobaun in mind. I think to make the 205 tire look good ...
