Re: Winter refresh 2.2T 1971

Took a brave pill and set about prepping the original exhaust, surprisingly it was a lot less rotten than I expected and only required some minor welding to the outer skin. Just need a splash of paint now. The Dansk sport one currently on gotta go as I can’t stand the ugly tail pipe. https://uploads...

When I reversed up on the trailer I scratched/dented the rear quarter and passenger door. Needless to ...

Re: Winter refresh 2.2T 1971

The car has been assembled for some weeks and I've been looking at a loads of options getting it collected, I won't bore you with the details but Covid and Brexit hasn't made it easy... Anyhow, finally got in contact with Geoff from Osprey Prestige Car Transport who will del...

Re: What did you do in/on/for your Porsche today?

Went for 2nd safety inspection, all four previous fails were signed off but now failed on oil leakage... Got the car up in the air and spent a good few hours cleaning the driveline, then had it idling for an hour or so. Culprits were the usual valve cover leaks, annoying since I replaced the seals a...

Re: What did you do in/on/for your Porsche today?

What did they pick you up on Magnus ? No major issues really - Right front light too high - Uneven brake force between rear L & R, bit annoying this one as I changed complete brakes front and rear a week ago, must be air trapped as I had to remove the callipers to the sort the dreaded plate lif...

Re: 1972 ST Clone

Fully approve of the lazy car cleaning regime! can't even remember what year it was when last cleaning the 993... did give it a quick vac inside last summer though  To balance my own laziness I must admit considering to give the T a coat of ceramic coating once its back from paint, still just ...

Thanks Darren, looking fwd to catch up and see your latest too, bring on CLM 2022...
