Both very cool. Few new watches I’d wear. That Bremont is definitely one. Bund Heuers simply cool. Assume jacket came with one of them.

Re: QUAD 33/ 303 & FM TUNER
ATC by chance? I was friends with Peter and Ross Walker and a periodic visitor to the factory. It was a great company and a sad loss. Horns of Oxford was their biggest dealer worldwide and they sold more electrostatics than any other. Geoffrey Horn was a friend of Peter’s and had designed the origin...

M3 yellow LHD 912 (based on the registration)
Heading towards London.
Looked like a DDK badge over the engine.
Driver with an appropriate amount of hair for a man wise enough to own a classic Porsche.
I was in my silver 2.4.
Respectful waves exchanged.
Also passed a Ruby 964 RS. No engagement there!

Hi, I'm the "serious private buyer". Obviously don't know the OP or his car but I think I have now found my car, '71 2.2E unrestored. We'll see. I have to bring it in from the fatherland. Was really chiming in to say to the OP, we've all been there. You fall in and out of love with the ca...

Brilliant. I’ll give it a go diy style. Not quite worthy of a restoration thread! Thank you all.

Top of door lock button replacement
Hi. The lock push / unlock pull button on top of my driver door has just snapped. Would welcome advice if an easy home fix. Ie no need to remove internal door cover panel? Whether home or mechanic fix, is the replacement ‘pull/push button’ easy to source? Would people advise a second hand part to ma...

Re: Off topic watch chat for the horologists out there
Sounds like a fun project. I think Panerai watches look great but find the volume of ‘limited number’ issues off putting. False scarcity which I fears leads to difficulties to recoup if you need to sell. They do smaller diameter versions so not all clunking in the wrist. Plain, sandwich dial no date...

Re: Ethanol free fuel - help in Scotland!
I have been told BP & Shell high octane fuel us ethanol free. Can’t confirm that’s true but now try to make majority of fuel stops at one or other.

Re: New Bentayga
Limited options if 7 seats are a requirement. High ride height also liked by many people. The old 740 fails both of those requirements. Yes a ‘bus’ is an option or aN MPV but SUV is less of ‘car death’. My family car is current generation XC90. Not fast or fun to drive but very comfortable & ver...
