Re: Getting my pre A coupe in and out of the garage
How about this? With the help of somebody else the first time, back the car to the first point where a turn is required and find a spot to place a mirror on the house or wall that gives you a clear view of the area you'll be turning into only when you are at that exact spot, and only at that spot. 1952 Cab, now in Europe, OEM engine available
Cabriolet number #15018. Mr. Joe Ruiz has the original engine #30612 and is seeking the owner of the car. He has posted the information on the 356 Registry website. I don't know any more about this. Good luck.

Re: Normal engined Speedster barn find $605,000
Some people seem to have more money than brains but the well known guy that bought this one has long exhibited great taste in his choice of 356's. Yes you can buy a restored one, probably for less than the amount of money this cost but how many still original ones can you even find? The answer leads...

I've owned and driven them for 40 years and it has always been 3 fifty-six, and I can't remember anybody saying anything else. Of course that may differ outside the US. Tom

Re: Self cancelling indicators
If I may jump in on this thread-I have a '55 which did not come with self cancelling indicators, instead there is a red bulb which flashes. Does anybody know if I can add an A model self cancelling ring to my '55 steering wheel and if so is it a complicated task?
Thanks, Tom

'52 Cabriolet 15018's orig. engine seeks car
There is a post on the Registry that the engine for this car will be sold and the seller wants to find the owner of 15018. Below is some of the post. I'm just passing along this information-I have no interest in or further knowledge of the engine. Searching for the owner who purchased bent window ca...

Re: 1600 or 1720.
Mycar: You are right that from the A through C the engine stayed 1600. The pushrod 356 engine has been in 1100, 1300, 1500 and finally the 1600cc size. I believe the 1951 LeMans car was 1100, and I also believe the 1600 limitation was driven by a racing regulation for that size engine. Tom

Re: 1600 or 1720.
There is an old adage (especially in the American hot rod community) to the extent that "There is no substitute for cubic inches (centimeters)".
Why not benefit from a little more size? Porsche has done so with the 356, Carrera and 911 engines over the years. TLC
