Re: What did you do in/on/for your Porsche today?

I was 1.5s off my best set 2 years ago Graham - you just have to accept the conditions as they are (especially silly the rain at first practice) Sorry I could t chat earlier - had a scrutineering embarrassment which nearly set me off to Demon Tweaks in the motorhome but luckily was saved by the help...

Re: 1987 3.2 Carrera Backdate project - Sladeys hotrod

Well done Mark, that’s great news. You’ve found other things along the way that were contributing to the poor running (or about to) so you should have a super reliable car under you now

Re: 1987 3.2 Carrera Backdate project - Sladeys hotrod

It’s a fair point - going back to first principles, what has changed? You have discounted the fuel pump, injectors and stale fuel from the car standing for a while. You then potentially damaged the loom and have repaired that, and found issues with the ECU and repaired that also. Therefore, looking ...

Re: my non-Porsche picture of the day

I love them, and I have to say that whilst very non standard, I do love that wheel / colour combo.

A chap in the nearby town has one in Gulf blue, and I often walk the dog past there hoping to have a chat with him about it

Re: What did you do in/on/for your Porsche today?

Not really Neil. The slicks are reasonably progressive in terms of letting you know what is going on, but the risk with a Boxster is that they grip and grip until they don’t any more, and then it is like a spinning top and very difficult to catch. Re: 1987 3.2 Carrera Backdate project - Sladeys hotrod

Sorry to hear that Mark

What fuel is it? E5 or E10? E10 is known to degrade as quickly as 1 month - it is worth adding some fresh as stake fuel won’t help, but it should still play a tune….
