Silverstone Half Marathon for ddk10kfor10years

Hi everyone I am in currently training for the 2013 London Marathon and as part of this I have entered the Silverstone half marathon on 3rd March. I am already running for a charity for the London Marathon but not for the Silverstone half marathon, so I thought it would tie up nicely with my other h...

Re: Fitting aftermarket VW wheels to 356

I have had some fun and games installing BBT sprintstars - for a bit of a change but they are worth it ! I initially installed 5.5'' wheels all round but found that the fronts ground against the innner arches so I have changed those to 4.5'' Also I found that the rear 5.5'' wheels ground against the...

Re: My '59

Lovely car

What are the details of the wheels and tyres

They certainly make the car look very tough!

I have got Sprintstars on my 356A 4.5 fronts 5.5 rears with michelin 165s all round but you look as if you have something different

Happy motoring

Ruined my plan of driving the family to a Sunday lunch.........

What a pain !

Re: Denis Jenkinson 356

Brilliant ! I think this is the first time I have ever seen the car in colour !! So grateful that you have shared this - thank you I vote that nothing changes on it and just the mechanics are maintained. It must feel very strange to sit in the seat of this car, with so much Porsche history. Hope to ...

Re: Bring a 356 to the UK

I remember that couple their worth on paper was a couple of million I think! It would make an interesting program to see how they are doing now? Probably even better with less mortgages available and a suppressed housing market. Anyway Faith does sound like a suitable name. My 356A is called Silvia ...

Re: IDEAS PLEASE?

Book ends? Although make sure the shelf is sturdy! Part of a coffee table feture - low table / heads in middle / glass panel over the top? Seems quite a common way of featuring this sort of thing? Bedside lights? Wife will love them ?!?!! run a wire through the holes to a bulb then 'Bobs your uncle'...

Re: Bring a 356 to the UK

Well done Neil Torsion bar covers come off easily and PRS / Roger Bray can post you replacements although they might not be the same colour. Anyway I hope you can make CLM this year as the drive suits the 356 really well. I will keep an eye out for a red 356 anyway! My 356 is having a rest this year...

Re: Tis a sad day .....

Very sad news

I am sure that the for sale price should start with a 3

Unless of course it is for a quick sale?

We would all be interested to know how this progresses.

All the best and good luck

Re: No MOTs for pre 1960 cars from Nov 12

To be honest I am slightly worried. I know it will save me the greif of the cost of an MOT and getting the items it fails on sorted, but this is what actually keeps the car safe and in a driveable state. What will stop me driving it literally into the gound ?? I think I will have to do some sort of ...
