I will try to find the email thread as I seem to have lost the bit with the type of oil he suggested James!
Once I know I will share with you all

Re: Heater cable question
I would have thought that they should be ok You are right that the flapper boxes are spring loaded so that is the tension you need to make them open and close from the control in the car. The only thing to watch for is that the wire is thick enough so that they last long enough and also then they wi...

Re: Third brake light
Thanks Jeremy I ended up getting PRS to finish off the wiring although they did an extremely thorough job and I paid for that in their hourly rate! At least now I have a thrid brake in the same location at you and it seems very reliable. Nowadays, it seems that most people watch out for the middle t...

Re: Silverstone Half Marathon for ddk10kfor10years
Brilliant thanks Phil The best way to focus the mind and get training is to sign up for it !!! I can also vouch for the Silverstone half marathon as I go a very close up look as I ran down the pit lane and the who course - I have not been to Silverstone since 1999 when MS crashed and broke his leg. ...

Re: Silverstone Half Marathon for ddk10kfor10years - done!
Hi all I have now got back from Silverstone and checked my time. I am quite pleased with it as I was not sure how I was going to do. I completed the half marathon distance of 13.1miles in 1.49.51 I had hoped to acheive 1hr 50mins so that is great. Please remember that I have also been doing this for...

Re: Silverstone Half Marathon for ddk10kfor10years
So this weekend I will be taking part in the Silverstone Half Marathon !! Training has been going well, so the distance is fine, I just want to try to get a quicker time than I have done in training so far. This, I hope will go well and I will set a decent time over the 13.1 miles. Please remember t...

Re: Has anyone had their 356 Registry mag yet?
I have been a member since 1998 but do not feel that I see much new stuff anymore from the registry. In fact I can not even remember if I actually renewed in December but I dont think I would be too upset if it turns out I didnt. The magazine is very samey and I think I get more news and information...

Looking at the next few months this will increase quite a bit !! Of course I will need to get winter tyres for my feet for the next week or so :brilsmurf...

Re: 356a - Stupid Questions
a/ Could be the rubbery link / junction between the steering column and steering box - if this has perished then you get play there? Also if there is wear in the steering box then there is little play there too. Cheap solution is to change the rubber link, available at most 356 guys. I have hear adv...
