Re: BLAUPUNKT HEIDELBERG FM STEREO MP3 930/928 77-79 £249

As I understand it interweb convention has it that typing in upper case equates to shouting so:-

1. Please don't shout

and

2. Shouldn't this be in trade sales?

Re: Oil Pressure Sender/Switch.

There are 2 pressure senders. One for the gauge and one for the warning light. The one you have is for the warning light. The one you need is as per the other part number you have.

Re: What is this car and engine?

Yes its great isn't it. Am amazing amount of work went into it. The main problem now is where to run it as there is no race series for early 3 litre F1 cars, only for the slicks and wings later versions.

Re: What is this car and engine?

The car is a Lotus 35 and the engine is a Martin 3 litre V8, both built by a good friend of mine over 5 years. The engine had to be completely re-engineered to make it work properly and was designed as an F1 motor by Ted Martin in the early 1960's, several years before the Cosworth DFV. It uses sing...

Re: Mechanical fuel pump needed

I am not familiar with 912s but if the carbs are getting the right volume of fuel at the right pressure I don't see that the type of pump doing the job matters apart from originality.

Re: Electronic Ignition. Where to get a good unit?

I recently fitted a Pertronix unit to a Cosworth FVC. Easy to install and it all fits inside the distributor. Sold in the UK as Aldon Ignitor, it is very popular with the USA Porsche world.

If that was mine I would wizz it down to my blasters and see how it came up as the machined surfaces look OK.

Re: Oil Light Relay

Hi there

As far as I know there is no oil pressure warning light on these cars. The two lights on the oil gauge are for handbrake and alternator charge.

I can't see any fuses for these lights on my wiring diagrams, admittedly for a '70 car so maybe your later car is different.
