Re: Correct routing of speedo cable..
Up through the hole in the top of the centre tunnel along with the wiring loom, then up through the hole in the bottom RH corner of photo 2. There is a special grommet for this hole which accommodates a slanted cable orientation. Sorry I can't add a photo.

69-73 Classic Retrofit fusebox installation
Recently in my efforts to upgrade reliability without sacrificing originality TOO much I purchased one of Jonny Hart's recently released 69-73 (vertical) fuse arrays to replace the original 10 and 8 way fuseboxes and integrate headlamp relays. The existing setup was working fine, but I always wanted...

Re: Pedal box
Is there an end float spec for the throttle shaft? Thanks both Don't think so, and never used one if there is. Just tighten the nuts at either end then use the slots in the LH section to make sure the shaft is 'tight but free' and use a little copper grease on the bushes. Worked fine for 2 years no...

Re: Pedal box
Attached I have a photo of my RHD 2.4E pedal box set up before it was installed. As Garry says you are missing spring 44, but the rest looks as it should. I don't recall the white plastic bush and it isn't shown on the PET. What is #29 shown as? http://i372.photobucket.com/albums/oo164/m_temple/72%2...

Re: 1973 2.4T CIS Restomod
Wow..what an expose...I cant believe they didn't change those rear bushes..hardly costs anything to do? And the photos don't really show how deformed they were, which was evident from the location of the arm boss in the cover before we even dismantled them, so clearly visible as an issue to anyone ...

That'll be Chesterton Coachworks unless I'm very much mistaken. You were indeed in good hands.

Re: Fuel pressure.
To tie it all together ....
1atm = 14.7psi x 2.31ft of water = 33.57ft of water.
Petrol with SG of ~ 0.7 translates 2.31ft into 3.3ft per psi.

I like black centre wheels, and they match the black panels, even better. Good story. Interior changes make quite a difference, made me think. Don't get too comfortable with the story - he's barely started ..... I see me and Mr. Hall in his 356 in the background of the Brooklands photo - if only I'...
