Like the ad suggests - pull off the RSR bits and sell them, put it back to factory and it'll go racing. I don't suppose it would be competitive as a 2.8 anyway.

Tell Russell we'll underwrite your PXs :)

Sounds very much like it to me  . Sam, I'm very much liking the above: what is it? (No points for saying 'a 911' ). It's a replica, based on a Beetle with an Alfa engine. Not really. A Gemini Blue 73 2.4 S with a lairy 2.7 MFI motor and lightweight interior. Not a show car, but a hoot t...

I happen to have the book right in front of me and a quick scan shows the purchaser of 1525 to be fond of brown - special order brown paint, brown velour carpet, beige interior.

I'm sure it's a known car. The owner of the last 16 years certainly appears to have been involved with PCGB.

PM on way with VIN.

One we know? A cheap one? an expensive one?
A blooming lovely one.

Arrived today so will be at Hedingham for you all to find fault with ;)

It won't be as expensive as the 'other' one, but I reckon it's as good.

It depends on how convincing you want the colour change to be. To include the engine bay and luggage compartments adds a lot of work; the engine, oil and fuel tanks need to be removed and all the wiring and fuel pipes pulled back. For a non-engine/luggage respray: To strip a pre 73 car, removing th...

Got a 79 3.3 coming in tomorrow. You could have a go in the orange 2.7 S at the same time... :)

That'll do just nicely Mr 4dead.

I'll PM you my mobile in a minute. We can sort out the details on Sunday.
Two weeks ago (and it was quite a lot more than £80k)
And it went up again last week, apparently, though sadly not through us.

Any one have a 2.4 S for a magazine shoot?

Next Monday (13th) we have a well-known publication coming by to do an article on the best way to spend £80,000 odd. They are bringing a brand new 997 3.8 S, we are supplying this : http://sphotos.ak.fbcdn.net/hphotos-ak-snc4/hs228.snc4/38748_147567721923764_141947985819071_497728_4911664_n.jpg and ...

That's some serious output - what is it? :) Either way sticky 50 profile 235s or 245s at the rear would be my suggestion too, with 205s at the front. I think you'll struggle for traction with much less, much more and you won't have any fun. Those tyres on 11s would have a bit of a VW-style stretch 8...

Hi Dan, Pleased to see you bought something! It sounds like you already know the answer : If it's value you want, restore it to factory spec. Doing as RS rep and getting FIA papers on it is fine, but you'll need to get some strong results to make it worth much. Have a look at the black and orange ca...
