I've got a Chesil stainless one I bought from Simon I'd be happy to sell if you want it.

Car looks great - will the Glidetrack work with a standard home Camcorder (like my Canon HV20) or is it for 'proper' cameras

Sounds like a familiar story. I did some business with Gary a while back. Nice guy, and does a good job, but very difficult to get hold of. Funny way to run a business really, and I'm not sure I'd use him again

Any reason to not go with a Speedster Clinic item? Are they still readily available?

Edit:

Another thought, I find the roof a purely practical thing, and use it when I need it. Most of the time when I drive the car I have the roof down. So it doesn't matter too much how it looks - just how it works.

I'd say it's worth pretty much nothing. The average speedster owner isn't skint, and the costs of paint are more than the part.

I'd stick it on ebay and see what you get.

Here's mine:

Body from Chesil, the rest of the parts from all over the place. Need to get some spacers to get the rear centre caps to fit, and do a few other finishing bits and pieces.

Gone in 60 seconds, that looks truly superb. Well done, can't wait to see some more pics :) Not sure if I'm keen on the colour I've selected, I think I'll have to get some trim on before I make my mind up. On a positive note, the body shop seem to have done a great job on the prep, so I could always...

I've just been to see mine at the body shop, and they were very impressed with the quality of the bodywork (Chesil) I've posted a few pics here: http://groups.msn.com/Speedster/shoebox.msnw?action=ShowPhoto&PhotoID=1 http://groups.msn.com/Speedster/shoebox.msnw?action=ShowPhoto&PhotoID=2 htt...

Steve, looks like you've done a great job there. Very well done, I don't think I would have tackled that in a million years

Sounds good. Are you planning to run all 4 points ? If so, where were you thinking of running the rear mounts to ?

Harness fitting

I'm looking to fit some harnesses to my Chesil speedster kit, and would appreciate some advice. For the rear (vertical) straps I'm planning to use some captive threads within the chassis, which are intended for rear seat belts. There are 4 near the centre line of the car (probably each spaced about ...
